Truck Driver Training & Testing
Driving Academy offers affordable, state-approved classroom and behind-the-wheel lessons for aspiring truck (a.k.a. CDL) drivers. Our founder and lead instructor comes from a family of teachers and professional CDL drivers. With a lifetime of driver education experience, driving is something we take very seriously.
Types of CDL
A CDL Class A Vehicle is one that weighs more than 26,000 lbs. and has a trailer that weighs more than 10,000 lbs. For example, a Tractor Trailer. Once someone has a CDL Class A license, they can also drive any Class B Vehicle.

CDL Class B vehicles are defined as any vehicle that weighs more than 26,000 lbs. and has no trailer, or if there is a trailer it must weigh less than 10,000 Ibs. Some examples are a box truck, dump truck, garbage truck, and cement truck, just to name a few.

A CDL Class B+ P Vehicle is one that weighs more than 26,000 lbs. and has a carrier with 16 or more passengers. For example, a Passenger Bus. Once someone has a CDL Class B + P license they can also drive any Class B Vehicle.

We are open 7 days per week.
Your training hours can be completely customized to fit your needs. We offer two options – you can enroll as a full-time student or a part-time student. Our full-time students are trained for at least 8 hours per day, while our part-time students are trained for a minimum of 4 hours per day.
Monday – Friday from 8 am to 9 pm
Saturday – Sunday from 9 am to 1 pm

Pass Your Road Test to Freedom
Once the training has been completed, the last step is to pass the 2.5 hour long CDL road test. The road test is split into 3 different parts, which consist of the pre-trip inspection, parking, and road driving. Driving Academy students have the option to pick which transmission they want for the road test. They also have access to take the road test at our third party CDL road testing site.
