Guaranteed Training Courses
The most extensive classes offered at CDL Driving Academy Jackson, our guaranteed training courses include over 100 hours of training material and are designed for those who need an all-in-one CDL course. They incorporate a variety of different learning methods, including classroom instruction and road training. Students enrolled in our guaranteed training courses also receive unlimited attempts to pass all CDL testing.
Full Courses
Designed to fully prepare students to pass their CDL examinations, our full courses equip students will everything they need to know about driving commercial vehicles. Students obtain the necessary classroom education to pass the written portion of the CDL exam and hands-on training in the yard to prepare for the road test.
Half Courses

We Accept the GI Bill
Road Testing Site
Once students have gone through the necessary training and passed the written portion of the examination, they are now ready for the road test. Rather than needing to go to a DMV to take a CDL road test, our students can utilize our third-party testing site. Here, students complete the CDL road testing using trucks they trained on and are more comfortable using. The road test takes two and half hours total to complete and is split into the following three categories:
- Inspection (one hour)
- Parking Skills Test (one hour)
- Road Driving (30 minutes)
Once a student passes the exam, CDL Driving Academy Jackson will submit the test results to the student’s home state. Once received, the student will be able to pick up their CDL from the DMV in about seven business days.

A CDL Class A Vehicle is one that weighs more than 26.000 lbs. and has a trailer that weighs more than 10.000 lbs. For example, a Tractor Trailer. Once someone has a CDL Class A license, they can also drive any Class B Vehicle.
CDL Class B vehicles are defined as any vehicle that weighs more than 26.000 lbs. and has no trailer, or if there is a trailer it must weigh less than 10.000 Ibs. Some examples are a box truck, dump truck, garbage truck, and cement truck, just to name a few.
A CDL Class B+ P Vehicle is one that weighs more than 26.000 lbs. and has a carrier with 16 or more passengers. For example, a Passenger Bus. Once someone has a CDL Class B + P license they can also drive any Class B Vehicle.

Guaranteed Training Courses
Our guaranteed training courses are the most extensive courses that we offer. These courses usually include over 100 hours of training. They are built for people who take their future CDL career very seriously. These courses offer classroom training for you to pass the written tests and get your CDL Permit. They also come with yard and road training to get you prepared to pass the CDL road test as well. We are so confident in the success of this course that anyone who has enrolled into this course will have unlimited road test attempts and vehicle rentals. Which means you have unlimited tries to pass all CDL Testing both written and road. As long as the student shows up and participates in all of our scheduled training and re-training, we will stick with them until they get a CDL.
Full Courses
Driving Academy’s full courses have been designed to take our students from zero to hero in driving. The full courses start off with classroom training to help our students pass the written exams, which will earn them a valid CDL permit. We will then bring our students to the yard and train them to successfully pass in the CDL road test. Our full courses also include a limited amount of truck rentals for the CDL test as well as our life time job placement program. However, they do not come with unlimited road test attempts like the Guaranteed training course does.
Half Courses
We have designed these courses for students who already have a CDL permit. If you have a valid CDL permit, there is no need to start off with classroom training – we will move you right into our yard training. In our yard, we will train you to pass the very difficult two-and-a-half hour CDL road test. Our yard training can be split into 3 main categories – inspection training, basic skills /parking maneuvers, and proper road driving. These courses will also come with a limited amount of road test rentals as well.
Refresher Courses
We also have training options available for people who have their CDL already but have not used them in a long time. Refresher course can be required by a company your looking to be hired by if you do not have any recent experience. We are here to help you brush off the cob webs and get you back to the skills you need to become successful in this industry. During our refresher course we will be training you how to inspect your truck inside and out, park your tractor trailer as well as road driving either with a manual or automatic.
